This entry is part 3 of 4 in the series Abandoned Dairy Farm Norfolk UK

I was having a wander about last year with a friend of mine through some woodlands in a village in Norfolk, United Kingdom. only to our surprise, we found this old dairy farm that must have had been abandoned for many years and now remains in a derelict condition.

Of course, being curious folk as we are, we had to take a closer look and have a good nose around to see what gems were to be found to get on camera.

It’s amazing what you can find just by walking around places you have never been. I certainly never expected to come across this interesting place of farming history.

Didn’t have my DSLR with me at the time, just my LG G4 phone.

As promised, here are some more for you to see.

I hope you enjoy viewing these photo’s as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Here is one of the old barns with the metal gates still attached. Looks a little bit like a prison, in a kind of way.

Here is a sack which was, presumably used to shelter the livestock from the cold wind throughout the winter season.

I would think this room would have been used as a nursing shed while cows were in calf. The feeding trough or basket still remains in the corner of the wall.

This is the same room as the photo above. It looks like the farmer left his or her cup of coffee or tea to go cold on the shelf while tending to nursing cows.

The old hay store. I wouldn’t fancy getting up those steps, these days.

Some old buildings that have seen better days that are being taken over by mother nature.

Although this roof has more holes in it than a sieve, the trusses looked to be in better condition than I thought they would be considering how long this place has been deserted.

I’m not sure why this farm and it’s house was just abandoned or when but I would think it has been empty since at least the 1970’s judging by some of the things that were left there as you will see in my future posts on here.

My first post at this farm can be found here:
