BLOCKv creates experiential, AR, VR, gamified vAtoms. The company is based in Switzerland. The total supply of VEE is about 3.6B. VEE is an ERC20 token. It powers vAtoms which can be anchored to EOS, Ethereum, and BTC through an abstraction layer. Changes in ownership, states, and values will be recorded on the selected blockchain and carry respective processing fees. BLOCKv plans to add more blockchains forming on-chain, hybrid, and side-chain vAtoms.
Somewhat like Pokémon Go or Geocaching, vAtoms can appear as 3D objects on a shared map with other users. They are smart digital objects available as prizes to be collected into a wallet, dropped on map, traded, given, redeemed and sold. vAtoms are experiential and are highly programmable. They are unique and can contain interactive faces, animations, messages, images, video, music, and more. They can be acquired in many ways such as scanning physical media, clicking online image or ads , scanned from tv placements, in games, or cast by projector to an audience. vAtoms can interact with one another (i.e. combine to unlock new behaviors). They form new protocols by mixing multimedia, GUI, and smart contracts.
vAtoms are the new industry standard in smart digital objects leading to a new age of human engagement. Connecting artists to fans, brands to customers, and even governments to citizens.
All vAtom activity is paid for and powered by VEE. Creators pay this cost while developing and publishing them. It is the only form of payment in the BLOCKv ecosystem and is used for all resource consumption. Some creation process examples that require VEE consumption are blockchain anchoring, publishing, transferring of ownership, picking up, dropping, or redeeming. All vAtom transactions cost the publishers a small amount of VEE, which is used to prevent spam.
These are decentralized independent teams who execute vAtom transactions. They follow a distributed compute consider model and are paid in VEE. All vAtom transactions must be processed by Cyclers to be functional. Cyclers will have different hardware and tech specs. They may choose certain types and sizes of transactions to compute. The cycler framework is expected to be released late 2018.
BLOCKv takes applications to allow Developer teams access to coding vAtom tools and templates with new behaviors. They must request access and be accepted to develop on the platform at www.developer.blockv.io. As the platform a matures, developers will soon be able to upload their creations to a marketplace where others may pay VEE to use and modify them. The payments will be awarded back to the template developer. Developers will need an intimate knowledge of vAtom components and will use their mechanisms to further expand use cases. Developers will be able to contribute new coding language, SDK’s, and compilers to advance the BLOCKv ecosystem.
The creators who finalize vAtoms and send the digital objects into the community are Publishers. They may drop vAtoms remotely by location coordinates or send vAtoms by username, email, phone number, or public key. Publishers choose the UI and behavior of the vAtoms they create. They may use developer templates, SDKs, or APIs to form their creations. Creators will be able to rise out of the general user base through simplified templates and tools. Publishers will pay VEE for their vAtoms functionality.
Basic simple purpose vAtoms can cost as little as one VEE to operate. Complex vAtoms can cost more depending on their functionality and resource consumption.
In the BLOCKv token allocation, 35% has been made available for public purchase in the Token Generation Event. The rest is locked up for various amounts of time by BLOCKv to promote the platform. 25% is locked for 2 years and goes to the founder team to be distributed among the company, advisors, and early contributors. Another 25% is locked up for 2 years and will be used to reward developers and partners who promote the ecosystem and community. The last 15% will be locked for 6 years and will be released to fund further advancements of the BLOCKv infrastructure.
