As soon as I found this series, I had to have them. They come from the Elemental Mint under the Egyptian Gods series. The Elemental Mint is actually OPM Metals and NTR Metals working together on these. This coin is the first release of the series. Let’s take a look at it.

2oz Cleopatra Ultra High Relief

My love for ancient Egypt had me scouring the web looking for this coin. I ended up finding it on BGASC (Buy Gold and Silver Coins).  I was leary at first never hearing of them, but they ended up working out very well. Fast shipping and a nice coin. Anyways….

This coin is amazing. When they say Ultra High Relief, they aren’t joking. Wait until you see the pics.

The Obverse

The obverse features a portrait of Cleopatra herself in Ultra High Relief. She is popping right out of the coin. You can see the hieroglyphics next to her that spell out her name. Also on the obverse is the Eye of Horus, which is incused. Very very cool coin.

The Reverse

The reverse has a bunch of stuff going on. It shows Isis, who Cleopatra claimed to be the incarnation of. Then you have the Scarab Beetle, an ancient sign of power, and more hieroglyphics. You can read the more in depth coin description at the above BGASC link. Very interesting.

Look how Thick this coin is

This is 2 quarters and 2 dimes stacked (It’s what I had in my pocket). It’s thicker than these 4 coins.

Time for some Loop shots

This is what you call Ultra High Relief. So much beautiful detail in this coin, it’s one of my favorite coins now. Check this out.

I’m sure you can imagine what it looks like in real life. It’s just so hard to take a picture of that depth. Needless to say, this is my favorite new series. They have 3 coins out so far and you’ll be seeing them later this week.
