While getting double of your income might seem to be a monumental task to some people, to others, it may seem utterly unattainable and impracticable. So today I will be sharing with you some hacks on how you can easily double your income hassle free.

1. Double your reasons: this is the most paramount of them all. According to Isaac Newton, “to every action, there is equal and opposite reaction”. As human, we all have a reason for doing what whatever we do. So if you are looking forward to getting double of your income, you first  have to double your reasons for wanting to be rich.

90% of people simply wants to get rich without having any ulterior motive. They simply want to be rich so that they can buy the things money can buy. Now I know the wheels of your mind keeps turning trying to figure out what kind of reasons I’m referring to. Most successful people out there have a source of motivation. Some do it for their mother, brothers, family or the world at large. Some do it for their kids. The more reason you have to succeed, the less excuses you have to fail. People easily get engulfed by excuses that they completely forget the reasons why they do what they do. If you give out-most attention to your reasons to succeed, then your excuses will become monumental. So go ahead and make a list of reasons why you want to be successful, work with this list and watch your income boost by a milestone.

2. Double your energy/efficiency: like earlier stated, to every action there is equal and opposite reaction. So if you want to earn twice as much, you should be ready to work twice as much. You need to double your energy in other to achieve your set goals in a short instant of time. We are all given 24 hours daily. How you utilize this 24 hours solely depends on you. You have to learn to cut out all unnecessary activities like video games, sport, friends and other time consuming events from your schedule. You have exactly what the rich people you admire have which is TIME. You even have more time than the people you look up to. So if you are looking forward to make a major move in your life, then you have to use the time effectively.

3. Double your savings: saving is never a way to get rich. But whatever job you are doing, be it free lancing job, civil servant, etc. make sure you save at least 10% of your earnings. Just imagine saving 10% of your earnings for 5 years. This will help you build a better cash resort and make you open to a better investment opportunity In the future. I call such money, “opportunity funds”.

4. Double your level of inquisition: the time you spend on the internet searching for entertainment, how about directing that time towards self-improvement? Instead of spending hours on Facebook, Instagram and twitter, how about spending such time in reading good books? Extensive studying will not only change the way you look at yourself, but will also change the way you look at others and the world at large.

5. Double your skills: whatever your line of business is, take your time to double your skills. Improve on you marking, branding, communication, time management and all other skills that can go a long way in adding value to you service. Don’t try to make people drink water rather, make them thirsty. You need to ask yourself what valuable skills do I have that the market demands? What level of such skills do I poses? Understanding this will enable you develop a strategic mutual relationship that will take you from the level were you are right now to the level where you want to be.

Nicely done Aighufue. Personally I have never really worried about being rich but rather doing what I want to do when I want to do it (within reason) and how to be able to do that – and yes, that takes some financial incentive – but all in all – I think what you propose in your article works as they are things that I have always done in order to achieve aims. I realize I may be the exception – but think that the advice related above could easily in most cases be rewritten to incorporate ‘how to be successful’ as well 😉
