By chance I discovered the new trybe platform yesterday.
The last few hours I spent a little time on the platform. I’ve been noticing a few things. I think the developers are also interested in what the users think, in which case I think so.
I ask you to excuse the spelling of the text as I have to dictate the texts in German and have them translated into English due to a current handicap.
I’m not sure what the main target group of this platform is. Whether the focus is mainly on blockchain technology and programming. As you can see, most of the articles are published in this section.
If this is not the case, it would be advisable to create new structures and categories for the most diverse areas right from the start.
What immediately stands out are the long loading times of the individual pages. The performance is really not special. But since the site is new and everything is in the beta stadium you can overlook it.
Here are a few things I personally will not like.
It should be possible to write posts in a mardown editor, for example, and then trybe only needs to copy them when creating a post. That didn’t work for me yesterday on my first try. You always had to specify images and formatting separately. I have been used to hackmd.io for a long time.
It seems that there is a check of the IP that you can prevent multiple logins. I live here in Greece and my internet connection comes via WLAN from a neighbouring campsite and hotel complex. About two 300 people use this IP to access the Internet. Yesterday it was not even possible for me to register my son.
It would also be interesting to learn how to proceed when publishing in several languages. Especially with detailed articles with pictures it is often not possible to include everything in one article. Is it better to get a second account or should you publish a post in every language?
What I also find important is a transaction overview. You should have an overview of how many tokens you have received for which action. You should also see which new member you have recruited. I have more Facebook groups, one with over 70,000 members. If I set a reference link there of course I would also like to know who became a member via this link. I run a small German-speaking community at Steem where we already discussed a little about trybe in the Discord yesterday and today. Most of them react in a wait-and-see manner, but in any case with interest. There were many questions to which there can be no answers at all. It would be nice if you could get in direct contact with the developers. Unfortunately it is with some other social media platforms so that it is developed at the user past.
I’m happy to be there at the beginning and I’m very excited about the further development.
I wish all members at trybe a nice beginning of the week and send you many greetings from Greece.
It would be nice if you leave a few comments below what you like about trybe aktuell and what you think could be improved.
