Python bindings to Qt is called PySide, the binding has been reboot with Qt5 into PySide2, with PySide2 the bindings tools were re-factored and iron out. However PySide2 still a work in progress and many bindings still not implemented. Here is a complete report of all the missing bindings with the following post:
python missing_bindings.py –qt-version 5.11 -w all
QtCore is one of the main modules that have the core toolkit functionality, it has a total of 175 types. Currently PySide2 is missing 29 types including 9 from the previous version.
QtGui is the module that has most of the graphical interface functionality in Qt, currently with 193 with 12 missing types from PySide2 and also 5 that were present in Qt5.
QtMultimedia is a module that provides audio, video, radio and camera functionality. Has 95 types with 10 types missing from PySide2 and 4 from Qt5.
I’ll list the rest since there are too many, hope that this list serves as a way to review what types are important to have on the current version. In total there are 102 types missing with 41 present on the previous version, and 5 complete modules are missing in the current PySide2. So help is always appreciated.
