So there is no point politely leading you into this post with some nice phrases and sentences I just need to get to the point and say my peace. Then maybe a discussion is needed amongst the EOS community on what we should so about these scams.

I have been holding EOS from the very beginning and I’m convinced it is the future and it can really benefit the world. But that will never happen if we continue to turn a blind EYE to people who are being Hacked & Scammed.

Pretending it never happened and carrying on like as everything is ok is not a solution. The EOS blockchain needs to put their big boy pants on, pull up their bootstraps and start taking responsibility or at lease providing solutions to ensure scammers do not operate unpunished.

In the real world if you steal something you get arrested charged and if found guilty you are punished. The EOS blockchain needs to have in place something similar. Everything is recorded on the EOS blockchain so something must be able to be done.

APPLE APP STORE EOS Wallet SCAM

This week 2 people that we know off having been scammed by an EOS wallet in the APPLE APP STORE. I will place the videos they made about these scams below & fair play to the people for making them.  If Apple Store is such a reputable place on the web then why are they allowing Doggy EOS Wallets to be submitted to their platform?

DONT USE THIS EOS WALLET

Apple’s Record

Let’s just take a brief and quick look at Apple’s record. In 2012 it was reported that apple assembly workers where ‘Subjected to standing for 24 hours, suicide nets, toxin exposure and explosions’: Inside the Chinese factories making iPads for Apple Now with Apple moving all operations to China where Users of iCloud services in China are forced to share data with a state-run Chinese company. Plus Apple complies with China’s rules again&  pulls gambling apps from App Store.

Let’s Put A Tin Foil Hat On Here For A Little Bit.

Apple alliance with China may have compromised their original integrity and founding ideology now it is slowly becoming a device for censorship ideal for a totalitarian regime. Apple may feel threatened by blockchains such as EOS and may allow Scam APP Wallets into their store to steal tokens and get EOS holders to lose faith in EOS.

Potential To Disrupt The Ruling Class

Blockchain’s in general, have the potential to disrupt the ruling class that has been in control of our world & finances for at least the last 100yrs. Do not be surprised if people corporations and even Governments have a vested interest in stopping Blockchains like EOS.  The two videos below will walk you through the Scam EOS needs to prove its worth and do something about OTCBTCDOTCOM and at least investigate it

@EOS_IO @HODGETWINS Hacked by Account OTCBTCDOTCOM BY GE4TKMJYGEGE?????

If you change OTCBTCDOTCOM to otcbtc.com you come across the following site I wonder if it has anything to do with this scam https://otcbtc.com/

Do NOT Download EOSIO Wallet Explorer Valeriy Dorojkin will STEAL all your EOS and Airdrops!

The EOS Community Need To Step Up

I’m not a developer I’m not even a significant person within the EOS community all I can do is write about this and give my opinion. Of course, we can say that these people made mistakes and there is nothing we can do. But is that good enough if someone steals my credit card and spends a bunch of my money I won’t be out of pocket?

Plus the person that stole my funds will eventually get arrested be charged and if found guilty will be punished. That’s how the real world works and that is how EOS needs to operate. The whole EOS community is living on a knife edge wondering when they will eventually be scammed or hacked.

We are like living out the Emperor has no clothes on nursery rhyme here everyone sees the scams and too few people steep ut and call it out for what it is. Its criminal and we got to start doing something about it.

How else do we expect someone to put their savings into Crypto? If all they get for being hacked/scammed is a few sympathetic comments and some sad face Emojis. That won’t scale and that won’t bring on mass adoption

Thanks this EOS account is one that should be watched. With over 800,000 EOS this is either greed or someone trying to destroy the EOS network & demoralise its community. Ignoring this will only make things worse. Thanks for the comment please feel free to share/rate if you haven’t already.

Argh, so much to say on this..!
At first Thanks for telling and explaining the whole thing so good.
I would really like to hear a statement of apple on this. I think they are the obvious ones to blame for in the first place. But also maybe not: Could they have known this before? Maybe the creator just published a clean app and waited until he stole the money. Was it really the to apple known app creator..?
But I get you. To solve things easy and because it is possible relatively easy it would be a solution to just transfer the money back in that case. Or at least freeze the account or something like that. I can’t really say where I would draw the line in future cases. But when things turn out to be as obvious like in that case and there’s so much coins involved I think it matters enough.
But I could understand if EOS says that they won’t do something like this, because they won’t interfere in the transactions at all… I also guess there haven`t been any similar cases with other dApps so far like this?
Also I really don’t know at all about the rights situation on this for EOS / apple…

Apple are not the company they used to be. Interesting fact is Steve Jobs never allowed his kids use the iPad. I just hate to see people be scammed.
